U.S. President Donald Trump said today that this week to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he had to be “good to the inhabitants of the besieged Gaza belt, who suffer”.
When asked whether he initiated the issue of delivery of humanitarian aid, which Israel is blocked by more than seven weeks, Trump told Journalists on Air Force One said that during the telephone call on Tuesday Netanyahu said: “You have to be good at Gaza.”
“These people suffer. We have to be good at Gaza. We will take care of it,” he said, adding that “there is a great need for food and medications, and we will solve it.”
If his administration is told by the pressure on Israel to allow shipments of food and medicine, Trump replied: “Yes, we do it.”
