“As our relationship continues to deepen, we look forward to expanding our partnership, including increased trade and investment that fosters shared prosperity,” Trump’s letter to the Kosovo president said.
According to him, the USA is ready to work side by side with Kosovo to promote peace and stability, for mutual benefit.
“I want to thank you and all citizens of Kosovo for your continued support of the United States of America’s efforts to address global challenges in Ukraine, Gaza and elsewhere. I also welcome Kosovo as one of the founding members of the Peace Committee, whose goal is to make the world safer, stronger and more prosperous,” Trump’s letter said.
Trump pointed out that this anniversary is also “an opportunity to reflect on the progress of Kosovo”, as well as that he looks forward to “an even stronger cooperation and partnership”.
On the occasion of the 18th anniversary of independence, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama will visit Kosovo today, who will meet with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albina Kurti in Pristina.

The former province of Serbia, after the collapse of the SFRY and the conflict during the 90s, declared independence on February 17, which Belgrade does not recognize and, referring to international law and the national constitution, considers Kosovo to be part of its state.
Kosovo has been recognized by more than 100 countries of the world, while Serbia claims that it is not recognized by 109 out of a total of 193 UN member states, including not even five countries of the European Union and the Vatican.
