Authorities say he was carrying a shotgun and a gas can when he entered Mar-a-Lago, entering the complex just as a guest was leaving.

Officials are investigating whether he bought the weapon while driving from North Carolina to Florida, according to CBS.
FBI Director Kash Patel just released a brief statement on social media.
He stated that the FBI is “putting all necessary resources into the investigation of this morning’s incident at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.”
Patel said “the gunman was shot and killed after illegally entering the perimeter.”
The FBI will work with the Secret Service and state and federal partners, and will release additional information as it becomes available.
