The Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić, and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Mirza Mušija, spoke today with representatives of the Organizing Committee of the 82nd Contest of the Most Successful Athletes of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is organized by the Sports Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event will be held on December 19 in Maglaj.
The meeting discussed the preparations and organizational activities for the realization of this important sports manifestation, and it was agreed that the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton will be the general sponsor of the event, thereby confirming the Canton’s commitment to continuous support for the development of sports and the promotion of top sports results.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, the meeting was attended by the President Vlatko Glavaš, who is also the President of the Assembly of the Sports Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Mayor of Maglaj Municipality Maid Suljaković, and the Minister of Veteran Affairs of the ZDK Adnan Sirovica.
The selection of the most successful athletes of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the oldest sports event organized by the Sports Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a long tradition of affirming sports successes and promoting sports values. This year’s edition will be the 82nd in a row, and for the ninth time the function of president of the Organizing Committee is held by the legendary football player and former captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vlatko Glavaš.
The holding of this event in Maglaj represents a significant event for the local community and additional promotion of the Zenica-Doboj Canton as an environment that recognizes and supports sports, young people and top results.
