In a recent interview, Ronaldo admitted that he is still not thinking about the end, and that he could even play in the World Cup in 2030, if he maintains his top form.
“When we talk about the 2030 World Cup, what will depend on my performance at that championship is what form I will be in and how many goals I will score. If now, through my 41st year of life, I continue to score, if I continue to have the same level of energy, passion and calmness in front of the opponent’s goal, then I will continue to play football. Who knows until when,” said Ronaldo.
With this statement, the Portuguese virtually reversed his earlier words from late last year, when he hinted that the 2026 World Cup in North America would be his last major competition.
