More than 14,000 Philippine and American soldiers began a year-old military exercises that represent a “complete combat readiness test” between the two ally by the defense agreement, in the midst of rising security challenges in the region, including tensions in the South Show.

Annual exercises called “Balikatan”) will last three weeks, by 9. May, and will include a demonstration of various American weapons, including the NMESIS system of antibodic missiles and Himars missile pitchers.

The Philippines will test their own modern rocket systems during the combination exercises along with American partners, reuters reports.

Colonel General James Glynn, director of exercise on the American side, described this year’s maneuvers as “complete combat tests” during which the abilities of both armies in different scenarios will be measured. Exercises include defense against rocket threats, preventing the invasion from the sea and submersion of the expenditure ship of the Filipino Navy in the peasant test.

– Complete combat tests aim to take into account all safety challenges in the region we are facing today, starting from the southnikina seas – Glynn said at the Media Conference.
