A passenger bus traveling from Tekirdag to Antalya ran off the road and overturned into a ravine. 8 people died in the accident and 26 were injured.
The governor of Antalya, Hulusi Sahin, announced that the accident happened in the municipality of Doşemealti, at the Komurler intersection, at 10:20 in the morning.
The bus carrying 34 passengers failed to negotiate a curve on a slippery road and landed in a ravine.
Ambulance teams, firefighters, AFAD, gendarmerie and police were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident.
Of the injured, 26 people were transported to nearby hospitals, and among them there are those whose condition is serious.

Governor Shahin stated that the cause of the accident will be determined after a technical inspection, adding: “The surface was wet and there was fog in the area. This is not a place for speeding, but it seems that the bus was driving too fast.”
