Valuable support for the work of the Merhamet Public Kitchen in Maglaj was provided by the students of several schools from Tešnj, Gradačac and Maglaj, showing that humanity and solidarity live in young people.
With activities HO Merhamet MDD – RO Maglaj the students joined in JU Gymnasium “Musa Ćazim Ćatić” Tešanjwho organized an action to collect food for the Public Kitchen, but also a monetary donation in the amount of 243 KM to support its work and help the most vulnerable. Merhamet sent them sincere thanks for their generosity, hard work and willingness to help others.
Students also participated in food collection Elementary school “Džemal Bijedić” Miljanovciwhich once again showed a developed sense of solidarity and care for people in a state of need.
A certificate of appreciation was handed over to Elementary School “Ivan Goran Kovačić” Gradačacwhere pedagogue Azra Ahmetović made a special contribution to the successful organization of the action.
Hardworking students of the hairdressing profession Mixed secondary school Maglajled by teachers Jasmina Lošić and Edina Čaušević, helped sort the collected food for the needs of the kitchen and pack packages for socially vulnerable people. In addition, with a lot of care and empathy, they also organized free haircuts for the users of the Public Kitchen.
From Merhamet, they thanked the school leaders, educators and parents, and gave special thanks to the students who showed how little attention and effort can bring great joy to those who need help the most.
Activities in the field and call for support
Humanitarian activities continue, and Merhamet members are currently visiting fasting, elderly and sick people in Ulišnjak and Straište.
