The KK Posusje basketball school is writing important pages of its history these days. The U-14 and U-16 selections are currently in Berlin, where they are participating in the prestigious ALBA Berlin Winter Tournament 2026, which also represents the first international trip in the history of the KK Posušje basketball school.
For young basketball players, this tournament means much more than the games themselves. It is about invaluable sports and life experience – new acquaintances, encountering a different sports culture, strengthening self-confidence and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Competing with teams from a strong European basketball environment is a strong incentive for the further development and motivation of young athletes.
The special value of this performance is given by the fact that this is the first step of strategic cooperation between KK Posušje and ALBA Berlin.
While the younger selections defend the colors of the club in Germany, juniors KK Posusje at the same time perform at the big international tournament in Sarajevowhich will be held on Ilidža from January 3 to 5, 2026. It is the largest international basketball event in the region, in which more than 1,500 children and young people from as many as 17 countries participate.
In accordance with the good cooperation with HKK Mostar, the junior team of Posušje also performs Robert Grizelj, Ivano Vidić and Ante Raspudic. The team leads Ivo Begićwith the help of a coach Borne Peljkovic.
Participation in these tournaments in Berlin and Sarajevo is another proof that KK Posušje systematically builds the club’s future through work with young people, investing in their sporting and personal growth. These performances represent an important step forward, both for the young selections and for the overall development of the club, it was announced.
