Several people suffered stab wounds after an argument on a bus in the western German city of Wuppertal, police said.
The announcement states that two groups of people on the bus, who participated in the carnival, started to argue a little before midnight on Saturday, and the argument eventually escalated into violence, reports Deutsche Welle today.
The driver stopped the bus and called the police, who arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of wounding three people with a knife, reports Tanjug.
The injured were transported to the hospital.
The media reported that the suspect, who is allegedly already known to the police, was taken to psychiatric treatment after he became violent in police custody.
