The founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Klaus Schwab, allegedly manipulated by the research of the organization to “gain the favor of the world governments,” according to the whistleblower reports.
These allegations, as they wrote the same source, led to his resignation in the president of the organization during the Easter weekend.
It is only one of several charges presented in the whistleblower letter sent to the WEF Board of Directors last week, which encouraged the organization to initiate an official investigation. Schwab rejected all the accusations, calling them “defamental” and “unfounded”, and criticized the former WEF colleagues because, as he claims, hastened reactions without given the opportunity to answer, writes Financial Times.
According to an anonymous whistleblower letter, the Schwab has disrupted the integrity of the WeF, by manipulating the “report on the countries of the Productivity and Resistance, and is the foundation for discussions at the annual meeting in Davos, where world political and business leaders are participating.
Schwab rejected the charges of changing the methodology of the report and pointed out how he was the author of that methodology since 1979. years. In March this year, the WEF reported that the investigation “did not determine that the forum violated any law” and that no evidence was found for the charges of Schwab’s misconduct.
Over the years, WEF has become one of the most influential meetings for political and business elites, but at the same time criticism due to elitism, closure and limited access to a wider civil society.
In the Tuesday statement, the WEF said that he would not comment on the latest charges until the new investigation was completed, emphasizing that “although the forum seriously understands these accusations, they still remain unproven.”
Schwab also rejected the claims that his wife Hilde abused the resources of personal needs, including the use of private trips, and the requirements of younger employees to “raise thousands of dollars from the ATMs in his name.” These allegations called the “clean lies” and announced the lawsuit for defamation against the anonymous accused.
He also co-directed that he used the WEF staff to lobbby the Nobel Peace Prize, pointing out, “Contrary to what insinuates, the more times I wanted to do so.”
Schwab did not answer additional queries to comment. According to the Financial Times, Schwab announced that at the beginning of this month, he plans to start the process of withdrawing from the President of the Board by January 2027. years, but new charges could accelerate that process.
