British police are gathering information on part of Epstein’s documents that suggest the women were smuggled on private jets through London’s Stansted Airport.
According to a BBC report, 87 flights to or from airports have been identified that carried British women who claim they were molested by Jeffrey Epstein.
– We are currently gathering information that emerged after the publication of Epstein’s files regarding private flights to Stansted – the British police stated in a short statement. The investigation does not relate to the former Prince Andrew, Duke of York, according to the French agency AFP.
Gordon Brown said last week that Stansted Airport was one of the places where “women were transferred from one Epstein plane to another” and called on police and regional chiefs to urgently investigate the allegations.
Lawyers representing Jeffrey Epstein’s victims in the US have pointed out that it is shocking that British police have never launched a full investigation into the alleged trafficking of victims.
Stansted Airport emphasized that all private flights are operated by independent fixed base operators (FBOs) in accordance with regulatory requirements and that these terminals have no control over the distribution of passengers on private aircraft.
