Dedić’s roots are connected to this region – his father was born in Donja Orahovica near Gračanica, while his mother is from Lišnja near Prnjavor. Although he built his career abroad, today as a Benfica player and one of the key representatives of BiH, he enjoys great support in BiH.
The citizens of Gračanica decided to pay tribute to their representative in a symbolic way, so next to his photo, the schedule of matches of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the upcoming World Cup was highlighted. At the same time, it was announced that the monitoring of the matches of the national team during the tournament was organized.
Before going to the World Cup, the BiH national team will have several preparatory matches, including a friendly match against North Macedonia in Koševo. After that, there will be a duel with Panama as the last test before the big competition.
At the World Cup, the Dragons will open their performance against Canada, then play against Switzerland, while in the third round they will also face Qatar.
With this gesture, Gračanica clearly showed how much she appreciates Dedić, but also how much she believes in the success of the national team on the world’s biggest football stage.
