The agreement was signed by the Mayor of Zenica Fuad Kasumović and President of the NS / FS BiH Vico Zeljković, which was a strategic partnership between Zenica and the football federation in one of the most important sports projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the signed document, the National Stadium of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be built at the site of the existing Stadium Bilo Polje in Zenica, through phase reconstruction and upgrade, in accordance with the applicable UEFA and FIFA standards.
On this occasion, the Mayor of the Fuad Kasumović pointed out the importance of today’s event for Zenica and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of the Football Association of BiH, Vico Zeljković, expressed gratitude on the patience and vision of the city of Zenica and the mayor of Kasumović.
“Today we can talk about the historical day. In the first place, I want to be a clear vision in the Mayor of Fuad, we have already shown the complex and extensive project, and from today we are moving to the main project to start the work”, said is.
In accordance with the signed agreement, NS / FS BiH assumes the role of the holder of the development of the project task, the conceptual and main project. The city of Zenica will form an expert team to participate in the work and give consent to project solutions.
It is planned to jointly define the financing model, with active work on the inclusion of domestic and international institutions that would support the implementation of this project.
A special status in the future national stadium will also have NK steel, which will continue to use the stadium as a motherboard. The agreement also envisages the formation of a joint coordination body that will monitor all phases of the project and lead its implementation.
This Project Zenica further strengthens its status of the Sports Center of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is shown as a reliable partner in the development of the infrastructure of state importance.
