“Russia is carrying out another massive attack on the facilities of the Ukrainian power grid,” Ukrenergo announced, stating that the attacks are still ongoing and that damage repair will begin as soon as security conditions allow.
Attacks were reported in several parts of the country, including western Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that around 5:30 a.m. local time, increased drone activity was noted, with the drones spotted in the Lviv region, near the town of Khodoryv.
Shortly afterwards, explosions were heard in the town of Burština in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Suspilna public television reported, citing its local correspondents.

Lviv Oblast Governor Maksim Kozicki later warned of a “new threat” to the region, noting that missiles were detected near Ternopil Oblast. The Ukrainian Air Force additionally announced that the missiles were moving towards the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Due to the attack, emergency, preventive interruptions of electricity supply were introduced in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, confirmed the energy company DTEK.
Also, airspace over southeastern Poland, including the area around Lublin and Rzeszów airports, was temporarily closed on Saturday due to ‘unplanned military activity’, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced.
According to a notice to airmen (NOTAM) published on the official website of the FAA, Lublin and Rzeszów airports are currently unavailable due to military activities related to ensuring national security.
Flight tracking service FlightRadar24 posted on the X social network that the airspace closure is related to the operations of NATO aircraft operating in the area.
