US President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that the US will get everything it wants with Greenland after agreeing on a framework agreement earlier this week.
“We’re going to have everything we want. We’re having some interesting conversations,” Trump told the New York Post, Anadolia reports.
He said the US could gain sovereignty over land in Greenland by taking ownership of areas where US military bases are located.
Trump softened his tone on acquiring Danish territory on Thursday after meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Davos, Switzerland.
He announced that they had discussed a framework agreement on Greenland that would address its security concerns and counter Russian and Chinese influence.
