The Croatian national football team ranks 11th in the new FIFA ranking, which was published on Friday.
This is compared to the last ranking down two places.
After a month in which qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup were played on five continents and a series of friendly matches, the first place in the FIFA rankings, as last month, is Spain. She climbed to second place from third place Argentinaand France dropped from second to third position. England is fourth, Portugal is fifth, the Netherlands has moved up one place and is now the sixth national team in the world, while Brazil fell from sixth to seventh place. Belgium is eighth, Italy rose from tenth to ninth place. Germany, which moved up two places, closes the top 10.
Of the Croatian rivals from qualifying group L, The Czech Republic is still the best ranked, but compared to the last edition of the ranking, it fell five places and is now the 44th national team in the world. Montenegro fell one place and occupies the 81st position. The biggest leap was made by the Faroe Islands, who defeated the Czech Republic in the qualifiers. They moved up nine places and are now in 127th position in the rankings, while Gibraltar remained in 200th place.
The next edition of the FIFA rankings will be published November 21.
The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks 75th with 1341 points.
Of the national teams from the qualification group in which BiH is for the World Championship, it was placed best Austria which is 24th with 1586 points. Romania is 47th with 1480, Cyprus 125th with 1137, while San Marino is 210th with 727 points.
