The Federal Institute for Development Programming, as a Urban Institution for Strategic Planning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized today in Zenica 11. Meeting of the network of cantonal development planning practitioners.
The network of cantonal development practitioners is an important mechanism of intercantonal cooperation and coordination that contributes to the establishment of a single, efficient and harmonized planning and implementation system of development policies at all levels of government. Through regular meetings of this network, the exchange of experiences and good practices is enabled, which ultimately contributes to better quality plans and strategic documents that directly affect the daily life of citizens. Representatives of the Zenica-Doboj Canton also attended the meeting, which this year was also hosted by gatherings.
Welcome to the participants in the meeting in the name of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, he wished Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, emphasizing the importance of professional services and civil servants in policy-making processes.
– I think that the civil service and civil servants are a very important paragraph and that all that ultimately, as representatives of the authorities, we implement, respectively, the result is your work. That is why it is important that you have continuous meetings and exchange of experiences. The cantonal levels of government, as well as cantonal institutions, are often underused in accordance with the capacities and competencies they have. If certain difficulties cannot be overcome at higher levels due to political circumstances, I believe that concrete solutions can be found at the cantonal level – Prime Minister Pivić pointed out.
The participants of the meeting are familiar with the latest guidelines and the analyzes of the Federal Development Programming, which regularly conducts the development of strategic documents at the level of federal ministries and institutions, and establishes vertical coordination with the cantonal authorities and the BiH Economic Planning Directorate.
