Three Belgian soldiers were injured during the Military Exercise “Red Kondor” in Scotland, the Belgian Ministry of Defense announced.
The two are heavily flirted and hospitalized, while the third suffered more easily injuries and was released from the hospital. One of the hard wounded soldiers will be operated before returning home.
Along with them, 12 more soldiers suffered hearing impairment, and suspected wrongly firedness of warning ammunition during the exercise. The incident occurred on Monday at the RAF Tain Training Center, and the investigation is underway.
Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever expressed support for wounded soldiers and their families, while the British Ministry of Defense confirmed that they were introduced to the event and expressed regret.
