23-year-old Erdoan Morankic, a young man from Brčko who was studying in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, died in a terrible tram accident that happened yesterday, February 12.
The accident happened while he was at the tram station, when the tram traveling from the direction of the Railway Station suddenly derailed and hit the station where passengers were waiting. More about the accident at the link HERE.
After this tragic news, many are saying goodbye to the victimized young man on social networks.
Among the controversial announcements was one from Erdoğan’s mathematics professor Mirsad Mehmedović.
“I woke up around 1:00 a.m. and found out from the news on the Internet that the guy from Brčko was actually Erdoan Morankić. I taught him mathematics in the gymnasium in Brčko. What wonderful paintings he had in the gymnasium. Once he and his brother asked me if there was a possibility that I could give some theory on the test. I looked at them and laughed. I told them that there was not much theory in mathematics and that it would be practical zicer, everyone could get a 2 on that test. Then I gave some theory questions to me. It was one of the few test papers where all the grades were positive. And then I repeated it to the next generation.
I will remember him as an extremely positive person. A personality different from the others, just like his twin brother. Sincere condolences to his family and friends,” Mehmedović’s announcement reads.
“A young life is gone, a young man is gone who was not guilty of anything, an artist is gone, a dreamer is gone, a talent is gone… I am looking at his picture now, I am writing these words, I am crying, there is so much sadness in my chest that I think it will suffocate me, my heart wants to burst… Dear Erdoğan… Rest in peace, may you rest in peace”, announced Hanka Jelasković.
“They say that artists never leave, they only change the canvas on which they create. Today, the world has become poorer for one palette of colors, for one smile that warmed and for a soul that saw beauty in everything. Thank you for teaching us how to see with the heart. Your mark remains indelible, in every stroke of the brush you left and in every heart you touched. Rest, good boy, among the stars that you must have already begun to draw,” the farewell note states to the message of Amina Porović, reports Radio Sarajevo.
