The U.S. military says today’s strikes targeted ISIS positions across Syria as part of an ongoing commitment to combat Islamic terrorism targeting U.S. troops, prevent future attacks, and protect U.S. and partner forces in the region.
“If you harm our soldiers, we will find and kill you anywhere in the world, regardless of how hard you try to avoid justice,” the US military said, according to a CENTCOM statement.
