At the beginning of 2026, Tešanj mixed secondary school received an extremely valuable donation, which significantly improved practical teaching for students of metalworking majors.
School workshops are enriched with modern industrial CNC machines – Spinner TC46 MC CNC lathe (X 221 mm, Z 590 mm) and Spinner VC500 CNC machining center (X 500 mm, Y 400 mm, Z 500 mm), with complete supporting equipment and tools. Donated equipment arrived from Germany.
In this way, after more than fifty years, a thorough modernization of the outdated machine park was carried out, which created the conditions for conducting practical classes at a significantly higher and more modern level.
The donation, like numerous previous ones in the past six years, was made possible by prof. Ph.D. Eng. Hasan Smajić from Cologne, to whom the school sends special thanks for his long-term selfless support for the development of education in Tešnje.
The new equipment enables the introduction and application of modern educational concepts based on CAD/CAM/CNC technologies. Students will have the opportunity to design metal parts in CAD software through a complete technological process, generate NC programs through the CAM system and realize processing on CNC machines, thus directly preparing for work in a modern industrial environment, which is increasingly present in the Tešanje region.
The school points out that this donation fits into the long-term vision of development, which includes the establishment of the so-called “Smart Factory” – an intelligent factory in which advanced technologies such as Industry 4.0, CAM, MES, ERP and artificial intelligence would be integrated. This concept is already being built on previously donated equipment, including the Cook industrial robot, state-of-the-art welding machines and automation equipment.
The teachers of the school, in cooperation with the administration and with the support of the director Jasminka Mujkanović, are currently working on the installation and commissioning of the new machines. An additional advantage is the fact that both CNC machines are equipped with a Siemens Sinumerik 840D control system, with which part of the teaching staff already has experience.
In addition to prof. Ph.D. Hasan Smajić, the school also thanked other donors who contributed to the delivery of machines and the reconstruction of the workshop: Blue šped doo, Medena Kommerce doo, Roše Metaling and KA3 Epoxyno, as well as numerous businessmen who continuously support the work of the school through various forms of cooperation and donations.
