The players of Stuttgart won a place in the round of 16 of the Europa League, although in the second leg of the play-off they lost in front of their fans against Celtic with 0-1.
Stuttgart did all the work in Glasgow where he celebrated with 4-0 so the return was practically a formality.
The Scottish giants took the lead in the 28th second of the game with Luke McCowan’s goal. Yang pulled down the wing and passed in the middle to Adamu who extended to McCowan, who scored a great goal to make it 1-0.
It was a shock for the hostsbut Stuttgart caught the game very quickly and by the end of the half dominated with 65 percent of the ball possession. Celtic defended with discipline, but rarely counterattacked. In the second half, Stuttgart created several scoring opportunities, but failed to score. The home team managed to shake the Scottish net in the 76th minute, but Deniz Undav’s goal was disallowed due to the backfield.
It goes further and Ferencvaros who won Ludogorets with 2-0 making up for the 1-2 loss from the first game.
Gavriela Kanichowsky gave the home team the lead in the 14th minute, and Kristoffer Zachariassen made it 2-0 in the 31st minute. The Hungarian team had a great chance in the 51st minute, but Lenny Joseph hit the post.
