In an interview with Gazzetta, Tardelli did not hide his belief that Italy will qualify for the World Cup, stressing that he believes that the Azzurri are a better selection.
“I am sure of it. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not at the level of Italy. Even if we do not have a strong national team, I feel that we will do great things. I said this even before 2006. Lippi’s generation reminded me of Bearzot’s Italy in 1982,” said Tardelli.
The Italian national team should arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, on a charter flight from Florence, and the arrival in Zenica is expected around 19:00.
