According to the Head of the Pamela A. Smith Metropolitan Police, the police received several reports of shooting near the third and F-street crossings, northwest of the center of Washington. Arriving at the place of events, police officers found an adult man and wife – both unconscious and without signs of life.
Despite the efforts of emergency and firefighters, they both deceased from the wounds of lasted.
The victims, as confirmed, left the event held in the Jewish Museum of Capital. The American Jewish Committee (AJC) confirmed that he organized the event that night. Police identified the suspect as Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old from Chicago, for which they had not yet had recorded security threats. Investigators so far believe that he also acted and that there is no more danger to the public. During the arrest Rodriguez, he shouted “Freedom Palestine”, which further amplified the suspicion that the motive of the attack was ideologically.
The Metropolitan Police announced a press conference, at which additional details should be published.
