The Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton is organized by signing a contract with sports clubs from the area of the city high and the municipality of Kakanj, Varush and Lead, which are specialized by the CPP Clubs.
– Unfortunately, there are not many clubs competing in the highest rank in our country in the area of our canton. We wanted to help the clubs with tradition, which were rated as clubs of special importance for ZDK. We are aware that this is not enough to achieve top results, but certainly represents an additional injection for clubs. It is also the message, but also the invitation to private entrepreneurs to invest more in sports and see that the canton is behind these clubs – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Mirza Mušija, is aware of the importance of investing in sports, and that the law is recognized by one or two clubs from each local community, while some investments are focused on sports infrastructure, in accordance with local commitments.
– Our tendency is that we raise sports to the level deserving. Our canton is the backbone of the economy and the development of BiH, owns sports tradition and clubs. Each city has a certain sport and a club that has completed the criteria we have provided as key to listing the club’s list of significance for the canton. The government provided KM 3 million to recover the most trophy sports collectives, while 2 million KM will be deployed for clubs that are not covered by law, through regular funding, as in previous years. According to Prime Minister Pivić, with 5 million KM separation for sports, the canton is approaching allocating 1 percent of the budget, which is considered an optimal level of investment in sports.
