Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina carried out an extensive action of enhanced inspection supervision in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 6 and 7, 2026, in the afternoon and at night. A total of 560 inspections were carried out on taxpayers who are engaged in the activities of trade, catering, organizing games of chance – betting, as well as in the sectors of bakery, construction and other service activities.
During the supervision, the inspectors checked the application of valid tax regulations, including the Law on Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, the Law on Fiscal Systems in the Federation of BiH, the Law on the Unified System of Registration, Control and Collection of Contributions, the Law on Contributions, as well as other relevant laws.
During the controls, 808 registered workers were found, as well as 60 unregistered workers. Also, 14 facilities were discovered that performed their activities without the approval of the competent authority, nine taxpayers without an installed fiscal device, and 173 taxpayers who did not record turnover through the fiscal cash register.
Due to established irregularities, including work without the necessary permits, hiring of unregistered workers, lack of fiscal devices and failure to register traffic, 54 facilities were sealed. In 223 controls, misdemeanor orders were issued, and the total fines imposed amount to 657,900 KM.
80 inspections were carried out in the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton. On that occasion, 127 registered and eight unregistered workers were found, as well as 28 taxpayers who did not register their turnover through the fiscal device. Due to the irregularities found, eight buildings were sealed, while in 35 cases misdemeanor orders were issued in the total amount of 97,750 KM.
The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina says that in the coming period, they will continue to carry out intensified inspections with the aim of strengthening tax discipline and suppressing the gray economy.
