Abida Pehlić, President of the “New Road”, and the Ambassador of this Association of Djemila Talić Gabriel had a successful meeting with the head of the municipality of Neum Dragan Jurković.
The aim of the meeting was to establish cooperation on the protection of women and children from all forms of violence.
– I try to progress in every way and to take attention about all our residents and their needs. Gemila Talic Gabriel has done a lot on the promotion of Neum in recent years and I am glad to initiate this meeting. Already in June, we expect the beginning of cooperation with the Association “Novi Put” – said Dragan Jurković.
During the meeting of the representatives of the “New Road”, the mayors met with the free counseling and mobile team to provide free psycho-social support to women and children victims of violence.
– The special focus was placed on the preventive program, which “Novi Put” has been conducting schools for many years with the aim of protecting children from all forms of violence and exploitation. The meeting was also an opportunity for the exchange of experiences in working with vulnerable groups – says Djemila Talić Gabriel.
The possibilities of the joint action and support of this local community in the fight against all forms of violence were discussed.
– The mayor expressed readiness for cooperation and support for future activities that contribute to a safer and healthier environment for all citizens – says Abida Pehlić.
The “Novi Put” association from Mostar has been continuously working on prevention of all forms of violence and providing professional support to survivors.
The Association carries out its awareness-raising activities and preventing all forms of awareness, prevention and education programs, seminars, round tables, workshops, the general public, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and institutions.
