Boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will face off again on September 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, in the long-awaited rematch of the most lucrative match in the history of boxing, the French news agency AFP reports, referring to Netflix.
Their duel from 2015 remains written in golden letters in history. Just days after the 48-year-old Mayweather announced his return to the ring, Netflix, which will broadcast the bout, announced a new bout with the Filipino, a year younger.

Mayweather is in 2015 celebrated against Pacquiao on points, and the fight achieved a record 4.6 million buys via pay-per-view. I beat Manny once before. This time the outcome will be the same, said Mayweather in announcing the rematch.
In 2017, Mayweather retired from sports undefeated, after 50 professional matches, although he then performed in exhibition fights. Among other things, this spring he is expected to fight the legendary Mike Tyson.
Pacquiao, also a multiple world champion, retired from boxing in 2021 for four years, when, among other things, he unsuccessfully ran for president of the Philippines. He returned to the ring last year and drew with Mario Barrios in Las Vegas.
Rumors about a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch have been circulating for years, and the speculations got even stronger last week, when the American announced his return to the ring.
