According to CNN Turk, citing a statement from the Istanbul Police Department, three suspects were killed after security forces immediately responded.
According to the report, two police officers were wounded in the exchange of fire.

The incident took place in the Beşiktaş district, but it is not yet clear whether the consulate itself was the target of the attack. According to the local Jewish community, the consulate has been closed for at least two years and is probably not in operation.
The area around the consulate is normally under increased police security, and additional security forces were deployed after the incident.
For now, there is no information on who shot.
