In a separate operation on the same day, three Iranian citizens were arrested in London as part of another anti-anti-terrorist investigation, the Separate Metropolitan Police said.
They are now in custody, and the police are searching facilities on three addresses. The Metropolitan police said this investigation was not connected with the earlier arrests of five men.
Police did not reveal the details of the suspicious conspiracy, stating operational reasons.
