According to the Turkish media, the experienced stopper Çağlar Söyüncü is among the players who have been in the public’s focus.
According to this video and reports, Çağlar Söyüncü and 2 other national team players, who aren’t clearly recognizable, were caught smoking.
Some say it was a joint, others say cigarettes.

The video soon went viral, and numerous criticisms of the national team members appeared among the fans.
Part of the public believes that such behavior is not appropriate before the performance on the biggest stage, while others point out that it is a private moment of the player that should not be subject to public condemnation.
The Turkish Federation has not yet made an official statement about the whole case, and neither has coach Vincenzo Montella.
Turkey will play its first match tomorrow morning at 6 o’clock our time against the Australian team.
