US Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned the move of German intelligence services on the Classification of the party alternatives for Germany (AFD) “to the right-wing extremist organization” and called Germany to “change direction”.
“Germany has just gave its intelligence agency for new powers to oversee the opposition. It is not a democracy – it is covert in tyranny,” he wrote Rubio on the social network X.
“What is truly extremely not popular, who won second place in recent elections, but a deadly immigration policy of open limits that Afd oppose,” Rubio said “Germany should change the direction.”
The German intelligence agency has declared the AFD anti-corresponding party today as a confirmed “right-wing extremist” organization that “does not respect human dignity” and jeopardies is democracy.
The new classification, which gives the Agency to the broader authority of the AFD supervision, is the result of a comprehensive audit, whose findings are exposed to an internal report to 1100 pages.
This takes place only a few days before the new German government, led by conservatives, take office under the leadership of the future Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
