The amount will be shared among all participants, including 2.8 million euros for the men’s and women’s singles winners, organizers announced on Thursday.
The distribution of prize money ranges from 24,000 euros for a loss in the first round of qualification in the individual competition to 2.8 million euros for the winner, compared to 2.5 million euros last year.
Placement in the main draw brings a minimum of 87,000 euros (elimination in the first round). Approximately 187,000 euros were promised to those who are eliminated in the third round and 750,000 euros for defeat in the semi-finals.
Roland-Garros offers a larger prize pool than the Australian Open (4.15 million Australian dollars in 2026, approximately 2.5 million euros), but less than Wimbledon (three million British pounds in 2025, 3.4 million euros) and the US Open (five million US dollars in 2025, 4.3 million euros).
This year the tournament starts on May 24 and will be played until June 7.
