The players of Posušje achieved an important victory at the Mokri Dolac stadium, where they defeated Široki Brijeg with a score of 2:0 in the 28th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, taking a significant step in the fight for survival.
The home team opened the match better and completely controlled the first half, during which they fired ten shots at the opponent’s goal. Such pressure paid off at the end of the first half, when Kreković scored to give Posušje the lead just before the break.
As soon as the second half started, Mulato took advantage of the new opportunity and quickly increased the home team’s lead to 2:0. Although Široki Brijeg continued to have more ball possession and initiative, it failed to seriously threaten, and the game ended without a single shot on target.
In the WWin League of BiH table, Široki Brijeg is in fifth position, while Posušje is seventh. In the next round, Široki will host Rudar, while Posusje hosts Željezničar.
