At the State Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Olympic Taekwondo, held on Saturday in Sarajevo, the high level of quality of Taekwondo Club Poskok from Posušje was once again confirmed.
In competition with more than 600 competitors from 36 clubs across the country, Poskok performed with six fighters and achieved an outstanding result by winning a total of five medals – three silver and two bronze.
Although they did not manage to win gold medals, this success confirms the continuity of quality work in the club, which has been at the very top of Bosnia and Herzegovina for years. taekwondo, regularly producing competitive athletes ready for the biggest challenges on the international and world stage.
In the competition of male and female cadets, the winners of silver medals stood out in particular. Marko Bakula (KM -37) reached the final with clear victories over the fighters from the Jopa Bijeljina and Nur Kakanj clubs, only to narrowly lose to the representatives of the Champions from Sarajevo in an uncertain final. She had a similar journey Mija Begić (KŽ -37), which also dominantly won the final, but in the final battle had to admit superiority to the opponent from the same Sarajevo club.
She also had a notable performance Anđa Tomić (KŽ -44), which achieved victory over Tešanj Academy, but was stopped in the fight for a medal, placing in the division from fifth to eighth place.
In the junior competition Anamarija Miličević (JŽ -55) won the silver medal after two convincing victories against representatives of Center Hadžići and Kozara Prijedor. In the final, after a tough and uncertain fight, she was defeated by a competitor from Novi Grad Sarajevo.
Bronze medals Filip Bakul (JŽ -49) and Šimun Topić (JM -73) won for Poskok. Filipa reached the honor by winning over the representative of Šujica, while she was stopped by the later finalist from Champion Sarajevo. Šimun Topić, after winning against Sokol from Bijeljina, was defeated in the semi-finals by a fighter from Zvornik.
The team performed under the guidance of the coach Karlo Galić and Petar Bobanwhose professional work and continuous dedication to the development of athletes and this club remain the foundation of the success and development of sports in Posušje and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The achieved results once again confirm that Taekwondo club Poskok Posušje, despite strong competition, successfully maintains a high level of quality and a stable place among the leading clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced.
