The special moment of the evening belonged to one more time to local boxer Marko Zeljka which has its roots in Široki Brijeg. In his professional debut, Zeljko won by technical knockout, which in the best way opened his own professional career.
It was great. I was very motivated and I have to admit that I haven’t felt this way before a fight in a long time. It’s like it’s my first fight. She was the first in professional boxing, but I felt like she was my first ever. I guess that one the whole atmosphere of boxing in Široki Brijeg – I had a really nice time. I am in Široki very often, at least 3-4 times a year. I have a lot of family and I really like coming here, it felt like homesaid Zeljko.
As part of the program, the Olympic boxing matchesand the victories were recorded by:
- Stipe Brekalo (unanimous decision)
- Petar Pavičić (unanimous decision)
- Eldin Hodzic (unanimous decision)
- Novica Terzic (by second round cutoff)
- Ivan Rajcic (unanimous decision)
They also performed in the professional part of the evening Neil Simon Wilson who won against Aleksa Kesić after the second round.
