NK Osijek today presented the new coach Tomislav Radotić at an extraordinary press conference.
The appointment of a new coach came a day after the breakup with former coach Željko Sopić.
I would like to thank Željko Sopić and his staff, they gave an enormous amount of energyas far as they could and knew, but as it happens, something more is needed to click with the team. Things like this are inevitable in sports and once again I thank them for trying to make the best possible result. It’s me two years in the staff of the first team and I also bear part of the responsibility for the results, regardless of the fact that I was in the role of assistant coach. I believe that at this moment I can help the team to stabilize and start with a more positive performancesaid Radotić at the presentation.
I believe we have ways and models with which we will detect problems and solve them in the field. My main goal is to get everyone on the ball. Forty-four years old Radotic he has been in the club from the Drava since 2021 and in various positions. He led Osijek’s second team and the under-19 team, and he also spent one season as the head coach of Cibalija.
In the first team of Osijek, he was an assistant to coaches Federico Coppitelli, Simon Rožman and Željko Sopić.
As head coach of Osijek, Radotić will make his debut on Saturday at the Opus Arena in a match against Vukovar 1991, a direct competitor for remaining in the league.
