Genk’s attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas (18) will miss Thursday’s Europa League game with Dinamo after suffering a mild concussion, the Belgian club announced on Monday.
Karetsas is on Sunday during the championship game with Standard from Liege left the field in the 85th minute after defender Ibrahim Karamoko made a strong tackle on him.
Karetsas is at the same time accidentally fell. On Monday, ‘Kos’ underwent additional neurological tests and a CT scan. He was found to have suffered a mild concussionGenk stated in a statement published on the club’s website.

Genk reported that Karetsas, together with the medical team, is doing everything to be ready again for the league match with Gent on Sunday.
Seventh-placed Genk on Sunday lost at home with 0-3 from the eighth-placed Standard.
On the same field, they will host Dinamo on Thursday, after they won 3-1 in Zagreb last week in the first match of the playoffs for entry into the round of 16 of the Europa League.
Karetsas assisted Maksimir from a corner for Genk’s first goal in the 15th minute when captain Bryan Heynen headed in a header. Five minutes later, he launched a counterattack from which the Belgians took a 2-0 lead.
The young Greek representative, born in the city of Genk, made 37 appearances this season with 16 assists and three goals. The specialized site Transfermarkt estimates it at 28 million euros.
