Why Tešanj must not be held hostage by “editors” without media and rackets under the guise of freedom of speech

Tešanj, a city that for centuries built its Fortress as a bulwark of dignity and civilizational charm, today faces an enemy that does not shoot from cannons, but from the dark corners of social networks. While the Tešanje businessmen have been building real values for years, paying for success with high pressure and heart attacks, a social cancer is growing in the shadows under the name of novarin.ba.
“Editor-in-Chief” of nothing and administrator of defamation
At the center of this digital siege is Miralem Merdić, a man who boasts the title of “chief editor” – a platform that does not legally exist. We must call a spade a spade: an editor is a function within the media that has a publisher, imprint and responsibility before the law. Without it, the title of editor is just a shield for public lynching and a label that serves to sell defamation as “news”. Merdic is not an editor; he is the administrator of a slanderous channel that has been poisoning the public space of Tešnja for years.
Digital Sacekuša: Victims that don’t count
The pattern is surgically precise: a Facebook post, public targeting, and a wave of ordered comments that can destroy someone’s job, family, and reputation before they even get a chance to speak. The latest examples of the brutal targeting of Haris and Adisa, who are trying to destroy the family’s dignity with fabricated claims, are only the tip of the iceberg. Tešanj has become a hostage of a platform on which there is no denial, no “other side” and no professional standard.
The institutional wall of shame: Who allows the “racket” to go underground?
While the honest businessmen of Tešnja are surgically cut off from every stamp of tax, novartin.ba operates in a gray zone that cries out for a reaction. We hereby publicly invite:
- Prosecution: How is it possible that dozens of defamation reports and lawsuits have no deterrent effect? Does the system wait for defamation to produce physical violence to remember the law?
- Tax Administration: Where are the financial traces of payment for promotions and advertising on a non-publisher platform? Is there a pattern of extortion and “pay to be gone” messages?
- Central Election Commission (CEC): There is an urgent need to check “black” political advertising during the pre-election period. Who pays for smear campaigns against political opponents through unregistered portals?
- Tešanj Association of Businessmen: It is your obligation to protect the business environment and your members from public targeting that causes direct economic damage to legal businesses.
- Municipal Council: Tešanj must not be recognizable by its “editor” without a media that publicly shames people without any consequences. Your silence is an endorsement of cancer.
- Press Council and Association of Journalists: Draw a red line and protect the dignity of the profession from those who use “journalism” as a weapon of extortion.
ZOS Radio: Result to be documented
In response to this digital cancer, ZOS Radio – as a registered media with clear editorial and procedures – opens a column for denials. No one in Tešnje can be held hostage by slanderous screenshots anymore. We will document every pattern, every threat and every attempt at defamatory public shaming.
When a pattern is documented, it ceases to be a “story” and becomes evidence. Comfort belongs to the people who build, not to those who tear down from digital ambushes.
