The NATO forces started the two-seater military maneuvers on Thursday, and the first warships set sail this morning from Rostock, Luka in the northeastern Germany.
Among the ships that set sail from the Naval Military Base Rostock-Warnemünde are Germany Corvet Magdeburg and French Miniway Vulcain.
In the exercise of Baltops, which is held once a year, more than 50 vessels, more than 25 aircraft and about 9,000 soldiers from 17 countries are held.
Exercise lasts until 20. June.
The Baltic Sea is considered strategically important, especially in the bright russian war against Ukraine.
Russia is the only one of nine countries on the banks of the Baltic Sea, which is not a NATO member.
Moscow assessed the exercise by provocation.
Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandar Gruško accused the day before the Western Alliance to prepare for the conflict with Russia with its annual exercise.
