In the Ministry of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, a working meeting of the Minister of Health Dr. Aide Salčinović with the president of the Zenica Local Committee of the Medical Students’ Association BoHeMSA, Vildana Hodžić.
The Association of Medical Students BoHeMSA (Bosnian-Herzegovinian Medical Students Association) approached the Ministry of Health with the aim of strengthening cooperation and achieving support in the fields of education, international exchange of students and further development of its activities.
During the meeting, the president of the Zenica Local Committee presented the activities of the organization that operates under the umbrella of the world organization IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students Associations). IFMSA enables medical students to participate in professional practices around the world, improve and work on scientific research projects. The organization also deals with health promotion, disease prevention and raising public awareness of important health topics, and the activities are carried out by medical students in cooperation with health institutions and medical faculties.
The Ministry of Health of the ZDK has expressed its readiness to provide support to students in the field of education and international exchange. Minister Salčinović gave advice to the association for further action, emphasizing that the Ministry will be a partner in strengthening educational programs and international cooperation of medical students.
– The Ministry of Health recognizes the importance of investing in young people and their education. We will support activities that enable medical students to exchange knowledge and experience, because they represent the future of our health system – said Minister Aida Salčinović.
