MINE still a threat for 93,000 citizens in 110 municipalities

Under the direct endangerment of mines, there are about 93,000 inhabitants of BiH, in about 110 vulnerable local communities, show the last data responsible.

As they added, unavailable, or non-functional records of mine fields, increasingly difficult minefields that are mainly in hilly-mountainous areas, and the lack of relevant information due to the expiration of suspicious areas.

“In the post-war period (1996-2024), 1,781 persons were damaged in BiH, 134 deminers were killed in BiH, of which 53 Deminer suffered harder and easier injuries,” they stated from BH MAC.
