Magoda emphasized the immeasurable importance that BiH Paralympians bring to our country over the years, stressing that they represent the true pride of Bosnia and Herzegovina with their results, perseverance and sportsmanship.
– Olympic and Paralympic medals, titles of European and world champions, continuity of top results and the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the biggest world competitions testify to their strength, character and unquestionable love for their homeland. That is precisely why the new Law on Sports of Canton Sarajevo, which will be presented to the representatives of the KS Assembly in the coming period, represents one of the most important reforms in the field of sports in the last few decades. This law is not only an administrative framework, it is the foundation for a fairer, safer and more dignified position of athletes, coaches and all people who have been building BiH’s reputation through sports for years – said Magoda.
He added that the new legal solutions provide for the introduction of sports pensions for Olympic and Paralympic medal winners, as well as medals from world and European championships in Olympic and Paralympic sports, as permanent recognition for their contribution and successes they brought to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
– This is not a privilege, it is a debt and an expression of society’s respect for people who have brought joy, pride and moments for the history of sports to Bosnia and Herzegovina for decades. Their successes are not just sports results, they are an inspiration for generations and proof that boundaries can be pushed with dedication and love for the country. With this law, we show that sport is finally getting the systemic support it deserves, and our most successful athletes the respect and security that they have long deserved with their results – Magoda said, as reported by the KS Protocol and Press Service.
