In order to reduce the risk of people, animal health and environmental health, the Cantonal Veterinary Inspectorate publishes recommendations when buying and slaughtering Kurban, and Traffic Kurban meat.
In the period before the Kurban Bajram Cantonal veterinary inspectors, made the turnover of live animals and products of animal origin, and the implementation of farm protection of farms, which will continue in and afterwards and after bajram. In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Veterinary Medicine in Bosnia and Herzegovina (“Official Gazette of the BiH”, fines for individuals in the amount of 430 km to 870 km and responsible persons in the legal entity in the amount of 1,740 km to 43,000 KM, as well as other administrative measures.
It is appealed to all those who perform a religious obligation to slaughter the animals allowed to get acquainted with the prescribed conditions that the animal must meet from the aspect of the law and all bylaws, and that is:
– that it is properly marked with a mouth marker,
– to possess a passport for cattle,
– to have a certificate of animal state with the entered ear mark as proof that the prescribed test was prescribed above.
The slaughter of animals whose meat will be intended to eat people through public spending (national cuisine, hospitals and other health institutions) are allowed only in approved and registered slaughterhouses, and such meats must be accompanied by the prescribed veterinary health form issued by the competent veterinarian.
The slaughter of healthy animals in the household is performed only when the same is not organized and then, in accordance with the regulations provide a veterinary-health examination of the animal before slaughter, and the trunk and bodies after slaughter.
