Josip Marić, a boy with Down syndrome from Mostar and member of the Judo Club Borsa, won a bronze medal at the European GET Together tournament held in Velika Gorica.
At the competition organized by the European Judo Union (EJU) and the host of the Judo Club Fuji, which is gathered 154 athletes from 12 European countries, Participants in Croatia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.
The tournament is part of the EJU’s initiative for Development of inclusive judge and promoting equal opportunities for children with disabilities. Joseph was performed for the representation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and bronze, after he won silver in the same hall.
Maric recorded in Velika Gorica two convincing victorieswhile in the remaining two struggles, it was defeated closely, in extremely equal and uncertain matches that were decided only in the end of the final.
