FIFA has raised ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup finals, with the most expensive ticket now costing $10,990, up from $8,680 in December.
Price increases were also recorded in other categories. The category “2” ticket increased to $7,380, and the “3” category to $5,785.
A new round of online ticket sales that began on Wednesday and will run until 5pm CET on April 21 were marred by technical problems and long waits, while tickets were available for some of the group stage matches on Wednesday, with no knockout round offers.
In the current offer of FIFA, there is one match of our national team. Category “1” tickets are available for the first match of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup against Canada on June 12 in Toronto at a price of $2,240, while they previously cost $2,170.
FIFA applies a system of dynamic pricing, which has drawn sharp criticism. A group of US congressmen warned that such a practice threatens to make the 2026 World Cup “the least affordable in history”.
The organizer announced that the remaining tickets for the 104 matches will be released gradually, while a limited number of tickets will be available at lower prices for the most loyal fans.
The huge interest in the tournament is also confirmed by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who claims that the demand exceeds “a thousand World Cups at once”.
The 2026 World Cup will be played from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada and Mexico, with the participation of a record 48 national teams.
