The president of the Croatian handball club Čapljina, Goran Lasta, issued an official press release regarding the events of the last match played.
As he points out, he felt an obligation to react to situations that, in his opinion, have already happened for many years they affect the regularity of the competition and development of young players.

He especially expressed his dissatisfaction and resentment the trial of the Sabović brothers.
We believe that they are not up to the responsibilities of judging 16-18 age match, because this league is a development league for those guys 90 percent of the time, said Lasta, adding that the aforementioned referees have been showing serious deficiencies in understanding the game of handball for years.
HRK President Čapljina stressed that it is worrying that the same judges have been running the same ranking of competitions for more than 15 years without visible progress.
Instead of professional development and improvement of referee knowledge, one gets the impression that the primary goal of personal gain through the trialnot a contribution to sports and young athletes, it is stated in the press release.
Lasta adds that this approach to judging makes the situation even more difficult for clubs that are fighting for survival and invest great efforts in working with young people.
Ignorance is often masked by false authority and excessive distribution of public warnings that carry monetary sanctions, which violates the spirit of the game and demotivates young athletes, as well as the work of club management, says the president of the club.
Finally, HRK Čapljina called on the Handball Association to seriously reconsider the criteria, quality and responsibility of the referee staff.
It is high time for changes that will ensure fair, professional and dignified management of the competition. Our club will always protect its players and sports values we will not be silent about the injustice that endangers the development of handball, concluded Goran Lasta.
