Thames Valley Police said today (19/02) they have arrested a man in his 60s from Norfolk on suspicion of abuse of public office and are carrying out searches in Berkshire and Norfolk. He was arrested in custody, his name will not be published, and considering that the case is active, they warned to be careful when making announcements.
Assistant Chief Oliver Wright said that after a thorough assessment, an investigation was opened, that it was important to protect its integrity and objectivity, and that the public would be informed of everything at an “appropriate time.”
