EU member states supported the largest free trade agreement ever reached with a group of Latin American countries, ending 25 years of negotiations, but also fueling tensions with farmers and environmentalists across the bloc.
The disputed Mercosur agreement with Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay has sparked protests in Poland, France, Greece and Belgium, and farmers have blocked key roads in Paris, Brussels and Warsaw, the media reports.
